Drop #01 — The Khrinøleen

Ten moduleurs. That's it. One unique synth every two weeks. That’s simply how many we can build right now.
Drop #01 — The Khrinøleen

We decided to build ten unique Moduleurs.
One every two weeks. Meet the first.

The Khrinøleen

A unique hand-built Shmøergh Moduleur in full aluminum housing.

The enclosure is designed by graphic designer and typographer Laci Naske, and hand coated by Gábor Kristóf at RAL5050. It uses colors like the signature Khrinøleen Pink (comes from the name of a sausage) developed for this instrument featuring custom type on the sides and on the top with two-component lacquer.

Two VCOs, a mixer with sidechain compressor, a multimode diode filter, two envelope generators with VCA's, a bitcrusher, dual-wave LFO, overdrive, headphones amp, a universal digital brain module and tons of fun. Learn more about the Moduleur

And again, there's only ONE of this synth.

Okay, but what is a drop?

Drop

Every second week we'll send an update to the this newsletter showing the instrument we just built.

Draw

If you like the synth, enter the draw with your email. We reach out to people in a random order to offer the instrument. You’ll have 24 hours to buy or skip before we move to the next person.
Shipping is limited to the EU. (yeh, we know, but regulations)

Repeat

A few weeks later we announce the next Moduleur and repeat until we reach ten instruments.

Why do we do it like this?

We thought a lot about it, and this was the best fair idea we could come up with.

We're just two dudes with day-jobs, and we never planned to mass-produce the Moduleur. It's out in the wild, open source and free for anyone to build (like this one by Matt in Australia)

We do this for the fun of learning and wanted to share a few special ones with y'all. These are collectors' items, super rare, one-of-a-kind, "you'll be part of Shmøergh's history" type of synths. We've put all our love and care into them.

What's next?

We'll drop a new one every two weeks and you can already take a peek at the next one on the website.
