CV Utilities
User guideOverview

The CV Utilities firmware packs 6 control voltage tools in a single firmware. It has a dual channel attenuverter, precision adder, slew limiter, AD envelope, control voltage mixer and a pseudo-random control voltage generator mode which can double as a fun random sequencer. It is a really fun and useful extension for your Moduleur setup.
Outputs
The outputs Out 1 and Out 2 will output two separate control voltages in all modes. In some of the modes you alter an input signal (e.g. Attenuverter, Precision adder), other modes generate control voltages standalone.
Switching between modes
To cycle through the available modes just press Button A. A blinking LED on the LED strip will indicate the current tool.

VU meters
In all modes the LEDs work as VU meters: LED 1-3 for channel 1 (Out 1) and LED 4-6 for channel 2 (Out 2).

Controls overview

Attenuverter
Use this CV utility to attenuate or invert + attenuate (attenuvert) an incoming signal. Use Pot X and Pot Y to set the gain of Out 1 and Out 2 respectively. When the pot is in the center the output gain is 0, when it's at minimum it's -1 and at maximum the gain is +1 (output = input).
Controls
| Control | Function |
|---|---|
| Pot X | Out 1 attenuation |
| Pot Y | Out 2 attenuation |
| In 1/2 | Input signals |
| Out 1/2 | (Input * channel attenuation) |
| LEDs 1-3 | Out 1 VU meter |
| LEDs 4-6 | Out 2 VU meter |
Precision adder
Adds precise voltage offsets for octave and fine tune to quickly switch VCO octaves.
Controls
| Control | Function |
|---|---|
| Pot X | Out 1 octave offset (-4V to +4V) in 1V steps |
| Pot Y | Out 2 octave offset |
| Pot Z | Fine tune +/-5 semitones, applied to both outs |
| In 1/2 | Input signals |
| Out 1/2 | Input + channel offset |
| LEDs 1-3 | Out 1 VU meter |
| LEDs 4-6 | Out 2 VU meter |
Slew limiter
Use this utility to create pitch glide or smooth out CV transitions with independent rise and fall times.
Controls
| Control | Function |
|---|---|
| Pot X | Rise time (0ms–~2s, logarithmic) |
| Pot Y | Fall time (0ms–~2s, logarithmic) |
| Pot Z | Shape — linear (left) to exponential (right) |
| Button B | Toggle linked mode (Pot 1 controls both rise and fall) |
| In 1/2 | Input signals |
| Out 1/2 | Slewed signals |
| LEDs 1-3 | Out 1 VU meter |
| LEDs 4-6 | Out 2 VU meter |
AD envelope
Dual attack-decay envelope generator with gate/manual/pulse triggering. If you need more than the built in ADSR envelopes.
Controls
| Control | Function |
|---|---|
| Pot X | Attack time (1ms–~5s, logarithmic) |
| Pot Y | Decay time (1ms–~5s, logarithmic) |
| Pot Z | Shape — linear (left) to exponential (right) |
| Button B | Manual trigger |
| Pulse in | Trigger input (rising edge, triggers both channels) |
| Pulse out | End-of-cycle trigger (fires when either channel decay completes) |
| In 1/2 | Gate inputs |
| Out 1/2 | Envelope outputs (independent per channel) |
| LEDs 1-3 | Out 1 VU meter |
| LEDs 4-6 | Out 2 VU meter |
CV mixer
Two-input mixer with per-channel level and master output control.
Controls
| Control | Function |
|---|---|
| Pot X | Input 1 level (0–100%) |
| Pot Y | Input 2 level (0–100%) |
| Pot Z | Main output level (0–100%) |
| In 1/2 | Input signals |
| Out 1/2 | Mixed output (same signal on both) |
| LEDs 1-3 | Out 1 VU meter |
| LEDs 4-6 | Out 2 VU meter |
Pseudo-random noise
Clocked random CV generator with optional quantization scales. Patch this to pitch CV of VCO's and gate inputs of envelope generators to create random voltages, optionally within a specific scale.
Controls
| Control | Function |
|---|---|
| Pot X | Channel 1 rate (or external clock when maxed) |
| Pot Y | Channel 2 rate (or external clock when maxed) |
| Pot Z | Random range around center voltage |
| Hold Button B + Pot Z | Scale select on Pot 3 (Unquantized, Chromatic, Major, Minor, Pentatonic, Whole Tone) |
| Pulse in | External clock source for channels with speed pot maxed |
| Pulse out | Short trigger when Channel 1 value changes |
| Out 1/2 | Independent random voltages |
| LEDs | Random step indicator in normal mode, scale index in scale-select mode |
